Devalia Safari Park is flourishing in the Sasan Gir and near the Gir National Park. The major highlight what lions are living in the Devalia park, are not pet or trained lions that are completely wild animals. There are also flourishing numbers of lions, these lions are smaller than the African lions, Asiatic lions are longer 8 to 10ft while African lion 12 to 14ft. When there were left only 20 lions before the independence so Nawab of Junagarh and British senior officers run a joint operation to save the lions in the 1893. After that they made the reproduce lions, the population increased by 18 during the 1936. After independence there were left around 50 lions but after the independence it was re-run in the 1965.
