Gir National Park is most popular national park in the world where found Asiatic lions. It is located in the Sasan Gir village, Gujarat. Basically Gir Forest is expanded on 1800 km2 area that touches with Somnath and Junagadh and 259 km2 area is reserved for Gir National Park where conducted Gir Jungle Safari by Gujarat forest deparment. As per 10th edition of Gir Forest Department, It was established in 1965 and ran lion saving campign in and around the Gir Forest and prevented the lions' hunting. Even forest department provided lots of facilities to animals like water ponds were created and these are cleaned time to time, tracker bands on each lion, rangers are taking care of them, department installed lots of cameras in the forest so that they can surveillance on the entire habitat. Department need to lots of fund to maintain the wide area so department decided to open it for public through jeep safari and made ticket system to gathering the fund. This strategy also generated employement for the native people of Sasan Gir.
